During this safari, you will participate in game drives & Boat Safari. Lake Mburo National Park is located in west of Kampala covering an area of about 370 square kms and is the smallest of Uganda’s Savannah National Parks. The Park harbors 68 different species of mammals including Zebra, Impala, Eland, Topi and Buffalo. Leopards, hyena and jackals are the predators that are present. Within the boundary of park from where it takes it’s name is the lake itself Lake Mburo.
Entebbe International Airport
On this day, you will have your breakfast and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Lake Mburo National Park is the smallest of Ugan
da’s savannah national parks. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.
You will arrive at Lake Mburo National Park in the afternoon and have your lunch before going for your afternoon game drive where you will be assured of spotting Zebra, Buffalo, Impala, Warthog and Waterbuck. You may also encounter large herds of over 100 elands and the recently introduced Giraffes.
After your afternoon game drive, you will check in for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at Eagle’s Nest Lodge. Eagle’s Nest Lodge is located on a high hill bordering Lake Mburo National Park, this tented camp has not only one of the best views in Uganda, it is also the ultimate African canvas experience.

On this day, your safari breakfast will be served before the day breaks so that you can start your morning game drive as the sun comes up. Sunrise is the best time for wildlife spotting as animals tend to be the most active during the “golden hours”, when the first rays of sunshine come to rest on the savannah. Zebras, elephants, buffalo and several species of antelope are some of the characters you may come across today.
You will return for your lunch in the afternoon & go for a 3-hours boat safari where you will come face to face with the flora and fauna of the lake. And along the bank, you will also see many animals that come to the water especially in the dry season. You will also see many hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, buffaloes, & over 3 types of otters that are found in the lake various bird species like; kingfishers, African Fish eagles, blue headed weavers, Herons, pelicans, the rare shoebill as well as the cormorants before returning to the lodge for dinner & overnight stay.

On this day, you will enjoy your last sunrise & breakfast in this beautiful side of Uganda before your guide drive you across the beautiful sceneries back to Entebbe and drop you off at Entebbe International Airport 3 hours before your departure time. Please make sure your flight departure is after 4 pm at the very earliest. For flights departing before 4 pm you will need an extra night in Entebbe, which we can help arrange for you at an additional cost.
